Toblerone Cocktail

December 3rd, 2009

I enjoy cocktails that don’t taste like too much alcohol. Most people would say I would therefore like almost all cocktails, although that isn’t the case. I like a few – and this is my favourite!!

It could almost be a dessert in itself, but I do enjoy it at any time and with (almost) any meal – it tastes just like a chocolate milkshake – only alcoholic 😛

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t drink it all the time. But once in a while, it’s a nice treat and will be lovely in our hot weather.

Toblerone Cocktail

Recipe by me – Anita @ Leave Room for Dessert

Serves: 1 large cocktail or 2 in martini glasses

½ shot (15ml) Kahlua
½ shot (15ml) Baileys
½ shot (15ml) Frangelico
½ shot (15ml) dark Crème de Caco (if you don’t have this, either omit it or add another 1/2 shot of Baileys)
½ cup (125 ml) milk
2-3 scoops ice cream
Chocolate sauce
Handful ice cubes (4 large ice cubes)

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

  1. This could be very dangerous during the festive season! 🙂

  2. Ooh I’ve only ever tried the toblerone cocktail once, but I loved it. Just like a chocolate milkshake indeed! hehe. I’m not big on the strong alcoholic cocktails either, so this is perfect!

  3. Steph says:

That looks devilishly good! I love the swirl, very pretty 🙂

  4. That looks so sinfully good! I’ve had a similar cocktail (and yes also because it wasn’t very alcoholey) but it didn’t look anywhere near as pretty!

  5. That sounds perfect with icecream, chocolate, and all the yummiest liqueurs. I love the match of the stripey glass and stripey shirt!

  6. yes please! I’ll have one, and in fact, make that two!

  7. Simon says:

The toblerone is such an easy cocktail to drink. It’s almost doesn’t taste like a cocktail when it’s made right.

Found it somewhat unusual to see a straw being deployed for a cocktail. Does this happen often in your experience?

  8. that looks sinfully delicious!

  9. Barbara says:

Your drink makes an irresistable presentation! Love the swirls.

  10. Mimi says:

Looks good to me, straw or no straw.

  11. Yum! This is a great cocktail. I ordered one at my 19th birthday at a family dinner and it went down pretty fast and was branded a ‘cocktail gulper’ by my parents. They cancelled my 2nd order. So embarassing!

  12. Beta Gal says:

I wonder how this compares with the one from Kuletos 😉

  13. Such a refreshingly elegant drink!

  14. grace says:

oh heavens. i, too, enjoy alcoholic beverages more when no alcohol can be detected and this would be a quick way to get me snockered. it’s beautiful and completely appealing!

  15. Sounds delicious. This is a great holiday cocktail idea– and a great way to spice up dessert!

  16. sophia says:

ohmigosh. This is the ultimate creation. Toblerone is one of my favorite chocolates. Turn that into an ultra creamy drink, PLUS shot of alcohol…Whoa, mama!

  17. Ellie says:

I like your matching stripey top with your toblerone cocktail. Love chocolate based cocktails. It tastes heavenly.

  18. FFichiban says:

Mmmm I love the Toblerone ^^! SO worth making in this heat!

  19. Rilsta says:

Hehe, it matches your top! The swirls look so nice and the drink sounds delicious!

  20. Parita says:

  21. Trissa says:
